We have 3 primary goals: 1. To be a blessing to families who have experienced the passing of a child 2. To be a blessing to families who have a child with a rare diagnosis 3. To share faith and hope with families who are enduring the most difficult seasons of their lives. |

Meet the Members of Our Team
Luke & Amanda Johnson, Founders & Chairman (Luke)

Luke & Amanda are the parents of Landen and founders of the Landen’s Story Foundation. They have four other children: Brayden, Hannah Grace, Tyler, and Eli. Luke is the Lead Pastor of Highland Drive Church in Lincolnton, NC, and Chairman of the Board for the Landen’s Story Foundation.
Through their story, they seek to bring comfort and hope to families affected by rare diagnoses and child loss, pointing them to the faithfulness of God and the only true source of hope—a relationship with Jesus Christ. A Bible verse they have drawn strength from during their journey is Deuteronomy 31:8, which says, "The Lord is the One who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." |

Hi, I'm Kristie Winoker. I'm a wife, Mom, and small business owner. My husband Travis and I have 4 children: Greyson, Kynley, Sophie, and Reid. Sophie has the same rare disorder as Landen. Her diagnosis opened our eyes to a whole new world. Many blessings and many trials, but one of our biggest blessings was getting to know Landen and the Johnsons. I feel so honored to have the opportunity to continue Landen's legacy of love and sharing God's grace with other rare children and their families.

I am a wife and mom who is passionate about loving my family and serving them well. Above all, I am a daughter of the King. Because Jesus died so that we can live in freedom, my greatest desire is to love Him above all else and love others as He has commanded. I want my life to point people to Christ, and while I fall short every day, I am so thankful that God's mercies are new every morning, giving me the grace and strength to keep serving. It is a true privilege to serve on the Board of the Landen's Story Foundation. Landen's constant smile, contagious laughter, and servant's heart will forever be etched in my memory. Even through his own pain and suffering, he faithfully encouraged and cared for others. While none of us can fill Landen's shoes, I am honored to follow the example he left behind by serving others and sharing the hope of Jesus wherever I can.

I have had the privilege of serving on the Landen's Story Foundation Board for more than three years. My connection to the foundation is deeply personal because I also cared for Landen as one of his Certified Nursing Assistants during his time at Levine Children's Hospital. That experience gave me a firsthand understanding of the mission and heart behind this ministry.
I am a proud mom and photographer and I love capturing life's most meaningful moments while helping families tell their unique stories. It is an honor to use the compassion, creativity, and servant's heart God has given me to serve with the Landen's Story Foundation.

I have had the privilege of serving as the Student Pastor at Highland Drive Church for the past ten years, investing in the spiritual growth and discipleship of students and families. My wife, Jaclyn, and I are blessed to be the parents of our son, Kane, and we are also honored to serve as foster parents.
Since 2020, I have had the privilege of serving on the Board of the Landen’s Story Foundation. I also had the honor of serving as Landen’s pastor for three years, building a meaningful relationship with him and his family that continues to impact my life and ministry. Landen’s faith, joy, and example of serving others continue to inspire me as we carry on the mission of sharing hope and making a difference in the lives of others. |
Tara Jubanowsky, Board Member

I am a medical social worker who has been serving in the field since earning my Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University in 2007. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have dedicated my career to supporting children and families as they navigate the emotional challenges of serious medical conditions, grief, and loss. I was born and raised in New Jersey and spent many years working in New York City before relocating to Charlotte in 2019. While serving as the pediatric transplant social worker at Levine Children’s Hospital from 2019 to 2023, I had the privilege of meeting Landen and his family. Supporting children, siblings, and families affected by life-threatening illnesses has been one of the greatest passions of my career.
Throughout my career, I have served as a pediatric oncology social worker at Columbia Presbyterian, worked in adult hematology and oncology at NYU Langone Health, and continued my commitment to compassionate care through my private practice, Endurance Counseling, which I launched in 2023. It is an honor to serve on the Landen’s Story Foundation Board and continue supporting families facing difficult journeys. Landen’s life, faith, and impact continue to inspire me, and I am grateful to be part of a mission that brings hope and encouragement to others. |

I’m a husband, father, and uncle! My wife Heather and I have three children: Kaiden, Mckinleigh, and Emmalyn. We are blessed enough to be Luke and Amanda’s sister and brother-in-law and the aunt and uncle to 17 of the most amazing kids in the world, including Landen’s three brothers, Brayden, Tyler, and Eli, and his sister Hannah. God blessed us to be Landen’s aunt and uncle for nine years, and we are grateful for the opportunity to know and be Landen’s family. I am honored to serve on the Landen’s Story Foundation and to continue to share the goal of the LSF by assisting families of children with rare diagnoses and by sharing the love of Christ and the goodness of God with those we have the opportunity to serve.
